Developing lifelong friendships
The Parent Association at Ivy is composed of the Parent Council as well as room parents from various preschool and primary classrooms. The PA aims to support the school community by advocating for the rights of all children and families, and working together to foster a healthy and welcoming school environment. Families that are transitioning into school often find an added support as they settle into the school routine.
The PA also hosts and supports a variety of events in the year to find ways to give back to our community, where our parent volunteers find opportunities to contribute to the fun, friendships and festivities in meaningful ways. Our PA coffee and ice cream socials are popular ways to connect with the parent body while also discovering a source of support and developing lifelong friendships.
I love how Ivy has cultivated a community of like-minded individuals who work together to ensure that Ivy Saplings work together.

Ice Cream Social
Once again, the Ivy Parent Association has been hard at work to beat the heat! The wonderful people in our PA hosted their very first event of the year - The Ivy Ice Cream Social. It was a great way for new parents to meet other parents, and people from our community.
Grower's Market
Ivy hosts an annual Grower's Market for you and your families. The aim is not just to indulge in some delicious snacks but to learn more about where our food comes from. Our Parent Association vendors had our taste buds tingling and our tummies growling. Ranging from sweets to organic foods, we had them all!
Flood Relief Efforts
The Parent's Association at Ivy alongside the children set up a camp at school to collect funds for the flood victims. They not only collected money but also clothes, shoes and dry food items which were then donated to the JDC foundation.
Well Done Parents!
